The Friendship Home

Seventh Grade's Service Learning Project - Second Quarter

In second quarter, seventh grade did a service learning project by donating money, cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, diapers, and more to the Friendship Home. The Friendship Home’s mission is to support, shelter and advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, and dating violence and their children.

Team Home collected items such as diapers, cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, and any other thing that remotely fits into one of those categories. Team Friendship collected coins and money. Each classroom on Team Friendship would have a jug where students in that class would put coins, and students in other classes could put cash, which would effect the classroom’s overall amount negatively.

Totals are 6,424 diapers, 648 items, and $502.00! Thank you so much to everyone in 7th grade who donated to support The Friendship Home. On Friday January 10, 2020 some representatives of the Friendship Home came to Irving to talk to seventh graders about the Friendship Home’s mission. They thanked them for raising and donating so much stuff to help support them.
