Last Tuesday, voters in Florida and Alaska reported that they received threatening emails to vote for Trump. One of the emails said, “You are currently registered as a Democrat and we know this because we have gained access into the entire voting infrastructure,” and all of the emails finished with “vote for Trump or else.”

The emailer claims that they had the person’s email, phone number and home address. Some of the emails have been supposedly sent by a far-rights extremist group known as the Proud Boys. The Proud Boys chairman has refused that any of the emails are related to them. Experts of cybersecurity have reported that the origin of the messages is still unclear, although they do suspect some of the emails have been sent from an Estonian server.
