The Denver Broncos team was in trouble for Sunday. They didn’t have a quarterback! One of the team’s backup QB tested positive for COVID-19. Every other QB as in Drew Lock, Blake Bortles, and Brett Rypien were placed on the reserves listed as high-risk close contacts. The team had nobody to play quarterback! So they went to Kendall Hinton on the practice squad who had played QB at Wake Forest in 2015, but then moved to wide receiver for 4 more years. Kendall was undrafted and put on the practice squad listed as a receiver in 2020. He completed 1 for 9 passes and only 6 first downs, but he made it work. The final score was 31-3 against the New Orleans Saints, but Hinton said it was the most eventful 24 hours of his life. My favorite team is a rival of the Broncos, but Kendall Hinton deserves respect for facing the challenge.
