The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is going to meet on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 to discuss distribution plans for the coronavirus vaccine.

Alex Azar is the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. He tells Fox News that the coronavirus vaccine was completed on a historic timeline. “Think about this: 10 months into this pandemic hitting our shores, thanks to what President Trump has done, we believe we’re going to have people getting vaccinated, millions of people, before Christmas this year. It’s just unheard of in the history of public health, this accomplishment.”

Brett Giroir, a pediatric critical care specialist and physician-scientist says “we should have enough vaccine by the end of the year to immunize 20 million Americans.” This is great news for the coronavirus vaccine.

Giroir also mentioned the American people must do the right thing before a vaccine is widely distributed, like wearing masks when needed, and avoiding crowded indoor spaces.

Pfizer said there will be about 6.4 million doses. That is enough for about 3 million people, according to ABC News.

If both Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines are authorized quickly there should be enough for 20 million people by the end of the year.

Finally, Brett Giroir told One America News (OANN), this is a life saving vaccine and will be the way to get out of the pandemic.
