Over 300 People Sent To Hospital Due to Unknown Illness

In New Delhi on December 6, 315 people were sent to a local hospital for an unknown illness. The patients symptoms were alike those with epilepsy, such as headaches, nausea, vomiting and seizures. According to the Indian news outlet Scroll, only one of the patients died, a 45 year old man who had nausea and seizures. Doctors have not yet been able to identify the illness through blood tests, brain scans or cerebral spinal fluid tests. Although, they have been able to confirm that the illness is not related to Covid-19 whatsoever.

The city’s efforts to identify the illness have been by collecting samples of milk and tap water. Also by temporarily closing down schools and colleges, and doing multiple door to door surveys to find people who might have related symptoms to the mysterious illness.
