States are now paying kids to get vaccinated. State officials think this will encourage more kids to get vaccinated. States like New York are paying kids $100 to get their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, or they could get tickets to the Statue of Liberty or to the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball game.  This program was available to all New Yorkers originally. In Chicago health officials are offering $100 gift cards for ages 5-11 Chicago is also closing school on November 12 for vaccination awareness day. In Minnesota, the state launched a program called “Kids Deserve a Shot” which aims kids of the ages 12-17 to get their covid shot, in return, the state will give you a $200 visa gift card as well as a raffle to get a $100,000 collage scholarship.
